At Communicate Technology, we’re continuing to grow our Cyber Security capability and we’re looking for a Senior SOC Analyst to join our team at our HQ in Wynyard. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced SOC environment and wants to play a key role in handling complex security incidents, shaping detection capability and supporting clients during critical events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Investigating and responding to complex security incidents
- Performing deep-dive analysis and identifying root causes
- Leading containment, eradication and recovery actions
- Working directly with clients during live incidents
- Tuning detection tools to improve accuracy and reduce noise
- Supporting and mentoring Tier 1 analysts
- Contributing to playbooks, automation and continuous SOC improvement
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in a SOC or security operations environment
- Strong knowledge of cyber threats, attack techniques and defence strategies
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR and security tooling
- Solid networking and firewall knowledge
- Fortinet experience is essential for this role
- Ability to investigate, analyse and respond to incidents independently
- Strong communication skills—able to translate technical detail for clients
- Certifications such as Fortinet NSE4, SC-200, Security+ or similar are highly desirable.
