Our client is a US-listed, international group with a global finance function spanning multiple regions. Due to continued growth in their Group Reporting team, they're looking for a Senior Group Reporting Manager to join on a contract basis, reporting into the Head of Group Financial Reporting and Accounting.

This is a technical accounting-focused role sitting at the centre of the group's quarterly consolidated reporting cycle. US GAAP experience is essential, given the group's US listing and reporting obligations.

The role:

  • Prepare technical accounting papers and analysis for Group Reporting sign-off and external audit.
  • Support external reporting, including drafting and reviewing footnotes under US GAAP and reviewing management representation letters.
  • Assist with the quarterly reporting process, ad-hoc technical accounting queries, and group external audit workstreams.
  • Act as a key point of contact for external auditors on technical queries.
  • Identify control gaps and drive remediation in coordination with Internal Audit and the wider finance function.
  • Support UK statutory account preparation and audit queries under FRS 102.
  • Build relationships with operational stakeholders across the business to get ahead of accounting issues before they surface at audit.
  • Contribute to global finance training on technical accounting topics and support the quarterly close process.
  • Get involved in ad-hoc projects, including researching the accounting impact of potential transactions.

What they're looking for:

  • ACA / US CPA qualified (or equivalent).
  • 6+ years' experience in a similar technical accounting role within a fast-paced, multi-site organisation.
  • Essential: experience in a multi-GAAP environment with strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing or reviewing technical accounting memos and position papers.
  • Experience supporting external audits — workpaper preparation, audit liaison, PBC management.
  • Listed company experience desirable.
  • Confident operating with senior stakeholders.
  • A hands-on team player who delivers to tight deadlines, with excellent written and verbal communication.
