Communicate have collaborated with an established Plc in their search for an Interim Head of Finance Transformation. The firm has undergone a significant amount of change over the last five years; they have recently established a new Shared Service center and started a finance transformation program. This growing, international business has gone through a recent change in ownership and is now looking for a seasoned Transformation lead to come in and make wider developments to ongoing processes and implementation programs.
With a newly established Shared Services Centre (SSC) in place, the organisation is entering the next phase of its evolution—embedding scalable processes, improving financial visibility, and driving operational excellence across multiple international markets. Reporting to the CFO you will be responsible for a large team and act as for this transformation process. You will coordinate this entire function across the group and provide reports for the executive management team.
The ideal candidate will have experience within the finance teams of international businesses and be looking to step into a business with an extensive degree of complexity. This role will be the next step for a candidate with excellent career trajectory and ambitions to advance within the finance team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the design and delivery of finance transformation initiatives aligned to the new SSC operating model
- Drive process standardisation, automation, and continuous improvement across core finance activities (R2R, P2P, O2C)
- Partner with regional finance teams and the SSC to embed best-in-class processes and governance
- Oversee system optimisation and integration efforts (ERP and associated finance tools)
- Establish and track KPIs to measure SSC performance and transformation success
- Manage cross-functional project teams and external partners where required
- Support change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption across global teams
Qualifications / Experience Required:
- ACA/CIMA/ACCA Qualified with significant PQE
- Extensive technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with plc environments
- A proven track record of leading sizeable teams, ranging from part-qual to senior post-qual staff
- Deep knowledge of finance processes (R2R, P2P, O2C) and associated systems
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change in matrix environment
