My client, a leading broadcast media group, is seeking to hire an experienced SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Consultant with strong expertise in indirect tax processes and hands-on experience in the configuration and deployment of RITA (tax determination/automation solution). The role will focus on designing, configuring, and supporting SD processes with embedded tax functionality across complex, multi-country environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and support SAP SD processes including order-to-cash (O2C), pricing, billing, and delivery.
- Implement and maintain indirect tax logic within SAP SD, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Configure and integrate RITA with SAP SD and related finance modules.
- Translate business and tax requirements into SD configuration and functional specifications.
- Support end-to-end order-to-cash process design with correct tax determination and reporting.
- Work closely with Tax, Finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate tax calculation and compliance.
- Manage integration between SAP SD, FI/CO, and external tax engines (RITA or equivalent).
- Troubleshoot SD and tax-related issues in production and test environments.
- Support SIT, UAT, and regression testing cycles.
- Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience as an SAP SD Consultant.
- Proven experience in SAP SD configuration (pricing, billing, shipping, output determination, etc.).
- Strong understanding of indirect tax (VAT, GST, sales/use tax) within SAP environments.
- Experience implementing or integrating RITA or similar tax determination engines.
- Experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA SD module.
- Strong understanding of O2C processes and integration points with FI/CO.
- Experience working on full lifecycle SAP implementations or large-scale enhancements.
- Ability to translate tax and commercial requirements into SAP configuration.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with other tax engines (Vertex, Avalara, ONESOURCE).
- S/4HANA migration or transformation experience.
- Experience in multinational or high-volume transaction environments.
- ABAP debugging awareness (not required but beneficial).
