Job Description

Join a fast growing global leader in a dynamic, tech-driven company and take a lead role in shaping VAT strategy across an international footprint spanning over 80 legal entities in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US. This is a great opportunity to join a high-performing in-house Indirect Tax Advisory function at a time when VAT reporting requirements are becoming increasingly complex, including real-time reporting and VIDA.

You'll work at the heart of the business, partnering with operational and finance teams to provide practical, timely VAT advice, strengthening controls and processes, and acting as the go-to expert for VAT queries across the organisation. If you're looking for a role with real advisory scope, genuine influence over process and systems, and the chance to build a robust VAT framework from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide practical, timely VAT advice to stakeholders across operational and finance teams
  • Support business initiatives, projects and transactions to ensure correct VAT treatment
  • Deliver VAT training to non-tax teams, including Accounts Payable, Sales and Finance Operations
  • Liaise with HMRC on enquiries, information requests and audit queries

Requirements

  • Relevant accounting or tax qualification – e.g. ACA/ATT/ACCA or HMRC VAT-trained equivalent
  • 4–6 years' hands-on UK VAT experience, gained in practice or industry
  • Able to explain VAT issues clearly to non-specialists and influence stakeholders
  • Experience supporting finance system changes or process improvement projects

What’s in it for you?

  • A fast-growing, agile and innovative organisation
  • Competitive salary, bonus potential and a strong core benefits package
  • A friendly culture that mirrors customer proposition
  • Real scope to drive continuous improvement from day one
