My client, a leading business services group, is looking to hire an SAP Finance contractor to provide hands-on support to the SAP project team across multiple workstreams, with a primary focus on finance data, ledger reconciliations, and testing activities. The position supports the accurate, controlled, and timely delivery of SAP-related changes and finance outputs. Inside IR35 β daily rate will be circa Β£700pd.
Key Responsibilities
- Support SAP implementation activities by assisting with process understanding, documentation, and translating finance and reporting requirements into practical deliverables.
- Perform reconciliations between source data, sub-ledgers, the general ledger, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support system testing activities, including test execution, evidence capture, defect logging, analysis, and tracking.
- Assist with data validation activities such as master data checks, migration reconciliations, and completeness and accuracy assessments.
- Prepare clear working papers and documentation to support reconciliations, testing, and control activities, ensuring outputs are audit-ready.
Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting IFRS reporting and month-end close activities within a corporate or group finance environment.
- Strong experience performing reconciliations across multiple systems, ledgers, and data sources.
- Previous experience supporting SAP implementation projects in a finance capacity.
- Experience supporting testing activities within a system implementation or transformation environment.
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured working papers suitable for review.
