We’re looking for an experienced Technical Accounting Manager to join a high-profile FTSE-listed company on an interim basis. This is a key role within the finance team, providing technical accounting support and helping the business stay compliant with accounting standards.
You will be advising on complex accounting matters, preparing technical papers, and working closely with senior stakeholders across the business. This is a great opportunity to make an impact in a large and dynamic organisation.
Key requirements:
- Provide expert advice on IFRS and UK GAAP accounting issues
- Prepare technical papers and support audit queries
- Review and support the production of statutory accounts
- Help assess the impact of new accounting standards
- Advise on complex transactions like acquisitions and restructures
- Work with the wider finance team on process improvements and reporting standards
- Support internal policy updates and compliance
Key experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CA), ideally from an audit background
- Strong technical accounting experience, especially in large PLCs or complex businesses
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Experience in a Technical Accounting Manager or similar role
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical topics clearly
- Detail-focused, organised, and able to work to tight deadlines
