My client, a leading consultancy group specialising in IT and change management transformation, is seeking to hire a Senior manager to focus on IT Vendor Consolidation & Sourcing Strategy. For this role, they are looking for a proven consulting leader who thrives on solving complex challenges, reshaping vendor landscapes, and delivering real impact for clients.
My client is seeking a hand-on consultant, and someone who can work with CIOs, CTOs, and procurement leaders—guiding strategy, leading negotiations, and building future-ready sourcing models that unlock cost savings and performance gains.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior IT leaders to design bold sourcing strategies and identify opportunities for vendor consolidation
- Map current vendor ecosystems across infrastructure, cloud, applications, and managed services
- Shape future-state vendor models that align with business and technology transformation goals
- Run the full RFP lifecycle—from requirements and evaluation through to vendor selection and tough negotiations
- Build and own cost models, scorecards, and performance frameworks to support smart decision-making
- Drive measurable value through renegotiations, rationalisation, and innovative sourcing models (multi-vendor, offshoring, managed services)
- Stay ahead of industry trends and bring thought leadership on how the vendor ecosystem is shifting
- Take end-to-end ownership of delivery while growing capability internally
- Play a key role in business growth by expanding existing relationships and opening new doors
Experience:
- Extensive experience of consulting, with a focus on IT sourcing, vendor strategy, and transformation—ideally from a top-tier firm
- Strong leadership experience running RFPs, vendor selections, and high-stakes contract negotiations
- Deep understanding of the IT services landscape (cloud, infrastructure, AMS, managed services)
- Proven results in driving cost savings, vendor rationalisation, and performance uplift
- Confidence in advising CIOs, CTOs, and Heads of Procurement at the highest levels
- Experience leading teams and developing the next generation of consultants
