Are you a seasoned financial leader with deep US GAAP knowledge and a strong background in FinTech? We're looking for an Interim Group Financial Controller to join a high-impact role at a fast-scaling, international financial technology business.
You’ll lead their global financial control function during a period of growth and transformation, working closely with senior leadership to ensure robust reporting, compliance, and controls across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities:- Oversee group consolidation and reporting across international entities (including the US)
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, UK GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Lead on technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition and complex transactions
- Oversee global financial controls, accounting policies, and risk management frameworks
- Support external audit processes and liaise with auditors across multiple regions
- Act as a key business partner to the CFO, FP&A, tax, and legal teams
- Drive improvements in processes, systems, and controls as the business scales
- Mentor and manage the finance team to ensure high standards of performance and collaboration
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong post-qualified experience
- Proven experience in Group Financial Controller or senior financial reporting roles
- Solid track record within FinTech, SaaS, or fast-paced tech-driven environments
- US GAAP and multi-entity consolidation experience is essential
- Hands-on experience with internal controls and SOX-like environments
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills
- Experience with Netsuite, Workday, or similar cloud-based finance systems is a plus
