About Commune

Born in Somerset, Commune is a design-led self-care brand. Rooted in true community with a focus on natural formulations and true sustainability, each of our products is created to simplify our daily rituals. Every detail — from meticulous, clean ingredient selection to fully recyclable packaging — reflects our commitment to responsible living and timeless beauty.

We partner exclusively with the world’s most prestigious retailers, hospitality venues, and private members’ clubs to bring Commune into spaces that share our values of intentional design, sustainability, and considered luxury. Our partners include Harrods, Liberty, Violet Grey, Mecca, Estelle Manor, and many more.

As a growing company, we’re building something special: an intentional community that believes in the power of Togetherness, a sense of belonging, connection and collaboration.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Sales Manager who will be at the forefront of expanding Commune’s presence globally. You’ll manage and grow relationships with retailers and hospitality partners, drive sales, and be a key ambassador for the brand. This role is about building relationships, training retail teams, and connecting communities to a brand that is design-led, sustainable, and purposeful. You’ll collaborate across internal teams and travel regularly, making a real impact on how Commune is experienced by retailers and consumers alike. This is a highly collaborative role requiring regular in‑office attendance. Initially, you must be in our Somerset office at least three days per week. Once our London office is fully set up mid-2026, the role will be based in-office there.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow sales with existing retail department store accounts and independents while identifying and opening new accounts to expand Commune’s reach
  • Deliver presentations and secure orders, ensuring retailers are excited and informed about new collections
  • Forecast sales and optimize orders to achieve goals
  • Monitor sell throughs and stock levels within retailers
  • Ensure brand guidelines and standards are consistently upheld across all retail partners
  • Train retail staff to become passionate Commune brand ambassadors, sharing product knowledge and brand heritage
  • Report market trends, and competitor insights to the company, contributing to strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with Marketing to maximise activations with partners
  • Liaise with Warehouse and Credit Control teams to deliver seamless service and support
  • Propose improvements in sales, training, merchandising, and promotional processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness

Who You Are

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, ideally within luxury, lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or retail brands
  • Willing and able to travel to Somerset for in-person days until the London office is fully operational
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Unleashed or similar sales order and inventory management systems is preferred
  • A proactive and conscientious professional, motivated by results and driven by a genuine passion for building enduring client relationships
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to navigate change with ease while maintaining focus on objectives
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of, and enthusiasm for, the brand, coupled with reliability, professionalism, and a positive, solution-oriented attitude
  • Confident and persuasive in presentations and client interactions
  • Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects and timelines seamlessly in a startup environment

Why Commune?

  • Collaborate with the finest: Cultivate relationships with our team of industry leaders and rising world-class talent, plus esteemed retailers and exclusive hospitality venues across the globe
  • Be part of a brand with a purpose: Commune is a celebration of sustainability, artistry, and impeccable craftsmanship, guided by bringing like-minded people together
  • Grow with us: Play an integral role in our expansion, shaping new markets and forging meaningful partnerships with meaningful opportunities for career and personal growth
  • Be inspired by your surroundings: Spend six months immersed in the serenity and creativity of Somerset — where our brand ethos is rooted — before the role relocates to our London office
