The Warehouse & Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management of the company's warehouse/stores operations and corporate office facilities. The role ensures efficient stock control, logistics coordination, safe and compliant facilities management, effective fleet oversight, and high standards of health and safety across all sites. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational delivery, maintaining service excellence, safeguarding company assets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all warehouse and stores operations, ensuring accurate stock control and inventory management.
- Implement and maintain robust stock control systems (including serialised IT and telecoms equipment tracking).
- Ensure timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of IT and telecommunications equipment.
- Conduct regular stock reconciliations and audits.
- Manage goods-in/goods-out processes and documentation.
- Optimise warehouse layout, storage solutions, and workflow efficiency.
- Manage relationships with suppliers, couriers, and logistics providers.
- Minimise stock losses, obsolescence, and damage.
- Oversee day-to-day facilities operations for both corporate offices and warehouse sites.
- Manage building maintenance, repairs, utilities, and service contracts.
- Ensure the office and warehouse environments are safe, functional, and professional.
- Manage third-party contractors (cleaning, security, maintenance, etc.).
- Plan and manage office space utilisation, moves, and reconfigurations.
- Oversee security systems, access control, and physical asset protection.
- Manage facilities budgets and cost controls.
- Manage the company's vehicle fleet, including vans and pool vehicles.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and compliance.
- Ensure fleet insurance, MOTs, servicing, and roadworthiness requirements are met.
- Monitor fuel usage, vehicle tracking, and cost efficiency.
- Maintain accurate fleet records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company driving policies and relevant legislation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
- Conduct risk assessments for warehouse operations, facilities, and fleet activities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
- Lead incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate fire safety procedures, emergency planning, and evacuation drills.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of IT and telecommunications equipment.
- Work closely with leadership, operations teams, engineering teams, finance, and procurement.
- Provide regular reporting on stock levels, facilities issues, compliance, and fleet performance.
- Support operational delivery teams by ensuring equipment availability and site readiness.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships to ensure service quality and value for money.
Experience
- Experience in facilities management across multi-site environments.
- Experience managing company fleet operations.
- Knowledge of stock control systems and inventory processes.
- Demonstrable experience in health and safety management and compliance.
- Experience managing suppliers and contractors.
Desirable Experience
