Due to continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an AWS Technical Consultant to join our Cloud Solutions team. Our Technical Consultants provide post-sales technical consultancy, undertake delivery and implementation engagements, and assist with pre-sales qualification and design to consultancy engagements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a technical consulting role, with a strong understanding and experience in delivering AWS-centric solutions.
Location: Home Based with some travel across the UK
What you can expect to be doing as the AWS Technical Consultant:
- Solution Pre-Sales and Scoping:
- Lead qualification of designs and opportunities
- Lead and present at customer opportunities and workshop sessions
- Understand client requirements, collect data, deliver analysis, and resolve problems
- Identify, evaluate, and recommend options, implementing solutions when required
- Collaborate with stakeholder groups as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements
- Address client needs to enhance capabilities and effectiveness, ensuring solutions are well understood and exploited
- Lead and contribute to Statements of Work
- Undertake consultancy assignments or work as part of a team analyzing customer requirements, gathering data, and recommending solutions
- Manage the design and implementation of solutions, excluding high risk/large scale projects
- Ensure quality and consistency in consultancy assignments
- Highlight technical risks to minimize exposure to commercial loss
- Produce and update relevant documentation
- Ensure smooth handover to support teams
- Provide technical support to internal and external customers as needed
Skills and experience required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of relevant subject matter
- Flexible work approach and willingness to go the extra mile
- Ability to handle complex problems beyond own expertise
- Willingness to travel (Full Driving Licence required)
- Experience in Public and/or Private Cloud Architecture
- Knowledge of Security Architecture or Engineering
- Experience with Infrastructure or Application Migrations
- Platform or Systems Engineering/Administration
- Operations in hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with Big Data or Data Analytics
