Responsibilities

Provides mid‑level administrative and clerical support to the department, while maintaining production requirements, supporting the unit and agency mission. Updates and maintains records, files and automated databases. Responds to additional duties as assigned by the Unit.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Considerable recent experience providing customer and administrative support, including composing letters, memos, word processing, data entry, filing and related duties in a professional office setting.
  • Recent experience using office equipment (computers, printers, copiers, fax machine and a multi‑line communication system).
  • Bookkeeping and/or accounting experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to organize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Strong communication skills with customers, employees, and other individuals.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations and work with numerical data.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining automated and manual filing systems.
  • Experience maintaining and updating inventory.

Additional Considerations

  • Prefer post‑secondary courses or certification in office administration or related training.
  • Prefer administrative experience in a criminal justice, court or law office setting.
  • Demonstrated skill in inputting data into an automated database other than Microsoft Office.
