Description for Candidates

  • Perform a variety of tasks related to directing and controlling traffic in a tunnel or bridge facility to include safety and security measures.

Maximize safety of public roads through proper traffic control in routine and emergency operations.

How you will contribute

  • Direct Traffic and Vehicles: Direct and control traffic throughout the facility. Observe and report all unusual occurrences.
  • Emergency Operations and

Safety: Assist state and local police, fire and rescue units and maintenance personnel in emergencies and routine operations.

Use safety equipment, techniques and skills such as CPR, first aid, etc.

Check ID cards, issue visitor passes at checkpoints and remain alert and observant to provide security to the facility.

Report suspicious activities or events to Control Room.

  • Monitor and Inspect Vehicles: Monitor and inspect vehicles entering facilities. Prevent unauthorized pedestrians and vehicles from entering facilities.
