The Staff Supplier Integration Manager - Capital Projects is a high-impact role within the Supply Chain team. You will lead the execution of complex procurement and supplier integration initiatives for ARC1 and beyond, managing long‑term assignments with loosely defined outcomes. Success in this role requires the expertise to manage stakeholders at all levels and influence direction across groups without direct authority over them.
What you’ll do:
- Execute Procurement Strategy: Lead the execution of complex, long‑term sourcing and procurement plans for capital construction projects with loosely defined outcomes.
- Own Contractual Frameworks: Manage the evolution of complex contractual frameworks, customizing and negotiating long‑term agreements for services and equipment where no established playbooks exist.
- Manage Strategic Supplier Relationships: Serve as the primary integration point for senior leadership at external design and construction firms, resolving conflicts and maintaining alignment across multiple firms working on the ARC1 site.
- Govern Procurement Processes: Drive the development of procurement tools, department policies, and performance programs (KPIs/SLAs) to monitor and improve the supply base.
- Lead FOAK Risk Mitigation: Independently manage medium to significant levels of risk by identifying potential barriers in “first‑of‑a‑kind” (FOAK) procurement and proactively developing novel solutions.
- Lead Financial & Schedule Tracking: Conduct analysis on complex and ambiguous problems to identify patterns and causes for cost and schedule issues.
- Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Influence and resolve conflict with cross‑functional peers (both internally and externally) to achieve alignment on major technical and strategic decisions.
- On‑the‑Ground Support: Provide critical presence in the Richmond, VA area to guide the ARC1 build and lead the adaptation to significant cross‑functional changes.
What we’re looking for:
- Expertise in Influence: Exceptional ability to build cross‑functional relationships and influence major decisions across groups where no direct reporting line exists.
- Relevant Experience: 10+ years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain, with a deep understanding of managing high‑value Capital Projects.
- Complex Problem Solving: Proven track record leading procurement for complex, ambiguous construction projects or “first‑of‑a‑kind” initiatives.
- Relentless Grit: A persistent work ethic to stay determined in the face of high uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Strategic Judgment: Ability to make judgment calls that impact the overall success of major projects or significant components.
- Advanced Negotiation: Exceptional ability to negotiate internally and externally, using data and relationships to advocate for the company’s best path forward.
- Financial Mastery: Proficiency in construction should‑cost modeling, budget tracking, and quantitative analysis for multi‑million dollar initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business.
Bonus points for:
- Master’s degree or relevant certifications (CCM, CPSM).
- Experience in an R&D, start‑up, or high‑growth industrial environment.
- Deep understanding of industry trends and the ability to create future opportunities that redefine construction procurement.
Must‑have Requirements:
- Willingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on‑call regularly.
- Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics.
Salary: $130,000 - $200,000 a year. The actual salary will depend on level, location, qualifications, and experience.
Benefits include:
- Competitive compensation with equity.
- 13 Company‑wide Holidays.
- Flexible vacation days.
- 10 sick days.
- Generous parental leave policy.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- 401(k) with employer matching.
- Professional growth opportunities.
- Team‑building activities.
