We are seeking a dedicated and experienced worker in Residential Child Care to support the House Manager to lead on the day-to-day operations of one of our residential homes. This is a key leadership role, responsible for creating a stable, safe and caring environment for the young people in our care, while supporting and developing a team of Therapeutic Support workers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within residential care or relevant field
- Relevant professional qualifications HNC Social Care. SVQ level 3 Social Services (Children and Young People or equivalent) is essential.
- SVQ level 4 Social Services (Children and Young People or equivalent) is desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
- A trauma-informed approach and understanding of complex behavioural needs
- Ability to work flexibly participating in sleep over shifts and on call which will involve weekend working.
- Full UK driving license
