At its heart, your key task will be to help create a safe, nurturing, supportive and healing home for the young people in your care. As part of a team, you’ll provide emotional support, the comfort of routine in a well-run and loving home. There will be lots of home cooking, school runs, activities, and experiences to share – and every day will be different from the last. You’ll support the management and smooth running of your house and, in turn, get great support from your management team at all times.
We look for candidates with tenacity and resilience and a real commitment to make a difference to the lives of the young people in our care. You don’t necessarily need to have experience of working in this sector. It is much more important to us that you are enthusiastic, energetic and your personal values and behaviours align with our own values of putting young people first, of bringing creativity, personal leadership and honesty and integrity to your work.
All care roles are subject to PVG disclosure from Disclosure Scotland. You will also need to have a valid full manual drivers licence. Your salary will be dependent on your experience and qualifications.
