About the job
The Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced House Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of one of our residential homes. This is a key leadership role, responsible for creating a stable, safe and caring environment for the young people in our care, while supporting and developing a team of Therapeutic Support workers. Common Thread have 14 Residential Child Care homes across Scotland. The successful candidate will be joining an existing management team and an organisation who believe in supporting their staff. What we look for
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within residential care or relevant field
- Relevant professional qualifications in Social Work/Social Care. SVQ level 4 Social Services (Children and Young People), SVQ Leadership and Management for Care Services Level 4 are desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
- A trauma‑informed approach and understanding of complex behavioural needs
- Ability to manage a team with empathy and professionalism
- Ability to work flexibly participating in sleep over shifts and on call which will involve some weekend working.
£37,211.20 to £39,208 per year (this includes sleep over allowance)
