The predicted salary is between 24000 - 30400 £ per year.
Part-time c18 to 25 hours per week. We are open to flexibility around how this is worked. There is the opportunity for the successful candidate to grow the role which requires a commercial mindset. c£30,000 to £38,000 pro rata starting salary depending on experience.
We have a vacancy for an HR Consultant to work with our founder. For the right person, there will be the opportunity to grow into leading the day to day HR Operations of the Consultancy, enabling our founder to concentrate on specialist projects, complex work and growing our outsourced HR investigations and Mediation services. We have an established portfolio of clients who love our partnership approach and our pragmatic HR solutions. You will have the opportunity to partner with our clients, understand their needs and deliver valuable HR solutions.
You will have a broad generalist HR focus working with a variety of SMEs and business owners to embed good HR practice. Alongside this, we often provide complex case work or HR projects for larger organisations when they need an additional resource or an unbiased view. So the ability to work on contentious and sensitive issues is a requirement.
Main Duties:
- To help with the active promotion and growth of the Company, portraying the Consultancy in a professional and positive light.
- Develop and promote effective, credible and professional relationships with Clients, to strengthen and grow existing accounts.
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of our client's businesses to understand their priorities.
- To work in partnership with our clients, providing professional and timely HR advice on all aspects of the employment lifecycle and to take ownership of their HR initiatives, working to achieve the best possible outcome for our clients.
- To educate and train clients on good employment practices and take a commercial and risk management approach to advice.
- To provide support and advice to clients on complex employee relations cases: for instance, disciplinary and grievance casework, performance management issues and absence cases.
- To provide support and advice to clients on recruitment and selection, adhering to safer recruitment practices where necessary.
- To provide support and advice to clients on restructures and redundancies.
- To support the management of TUPE transfers from a HR perspective.
- To provide support and advice to clients on GDPR from an employment perspective and to embed good GDPR practice in the interrelations between the Consultancy and its clients.
- To manage the implementation and maintenance of the Breathe HR Software for Clients, responding to and addressing queries.
- To produce and update model HR documentation, Employment Contracts, HR Policies and Procedures as legislation and best practice changes.
- To tailor Employment Contract Templates for Clients to match their terms and conditions and employment practices.
- To populate Employment Contracts for clients who have bought this service.
- To tailor and develop HR Policies and Procedures for Clients according to their terms and conditions, ethos and working practices.
- To manage our HR Document library.
- To help clients with holiday calculations.
- To manage HR projects as required for either the Consultancy or our clients.
- To work with the founder to grow our consultancy. This could be helping to develop and deliver a range of HR training workshops and programmes.
- To share knowledge and experience to promote continual professional development.
- Write articles and record videos on HR topics for sharing to our clients and on our website and marketing channels.
You will have:
- a growth mindset,
- Broad Generalist HR experience with an HR specialism that you would like to develop further.
- In depth experience in Employee Relations and Case Management will be advantageous.
- A level 5 CIPD qualification and Associate Level CIPD membership as a minimum with extensive HR generalist experience, though a level 7 CIPD qualification will be a distinct advantage.
- You will have exemplary employment law and HR technical knowledge.
- You will demonstrate a love to learn, share your knowledge and be active in your CPD.
- You will be able to think strategically whilst able to analyse complex information and pay great attention to detail.
- You will be able to adapt to different organisational cultures, industries and sizes.
- Previous consultancy experience in working with end user clients is preferable.
- This may have been gained with internal clients and you will have the ability to adapt to an external facing environment.
