Purpose of the position: Participation in the design, further development, implementation and communication of the Tax Compliance Management System within the Commerzbank Group in coordination with the Divisional Head of Tax Compliance Management Office in Frankfurt / Germany.
Conception, implementation and continuous development of the Anti-Tax Evasion Facilitation Compliance Program to avoid Tax Evasion.
Key activities: Responsibility for the following main tasks:
- Carrying out controls (random checks, analytical and I.C.S controls).
- Proposal of audit fields, differentiated according to tax types.
- Testing/review of end-to-end processes to ensure tax compliance; if necessary, with the specialists responsible from other departments of GM-TAX.
- Identification of vulnerabilities and taking responsibility for remedying these vulnerabilities together with the affected entity (tracking of the implementation of measures, review of the changes, etc.).
- Implementation of health checks including preparation of the communication of the results as well as derivation and implementation monitoring of the measures.
- Participation in the implementation and further development of the Tax Compliance Management System (TCMS) in the Commerzbank Group.
- Support in the digitization of Commerzbank as well as the digitization of the processes/systems within the tax department to support the TCMS.
Formal education / professional experience / knowledge / further qualification:
- University Degree in economics, law or a comparable course of study.
- Well-founded knowledge of national (Germany) and international tax law.
- Fluent in English (main office language) and German to communicate with Head Quarters and internal stakeholders in Germany plus reading of documents in German.

- ComMap Level 3: Participation in decision-making preparation in one's own area of work and in cooperation with adjacent departments.
- Independent processing of the topics in the area of responsibility with a pronounced solution orientation as well as active control / sub-project management in overarching projects.
- Independent execution of analyses of the impact of tax requirements and innovations on the Commerzbank Group.
- Identifying the main drivers in different tax issues; consideration of problems in an overarching context and development of new solutions.
- Conveying information/facts in a way that is appropriate for the addressee as well as comprehensible explanation of difficult tax issues and achieving consensus through negotiation security.
- Application of specialist knowledge and experience in the relevant tax areas in special tax issues.
- ComMap Level 4: Steering participation in decision-making preparation in one's own area of work as well as at higher level.
- Self-responsible processing of complex topics in the area of responsibility with a pronounced solution orientation, active management / sub-project management in overarching projects.
- Self-responsible execution of analyses on the effects of tax requirements and developments on the Commerzbank Group and association with related topics / aspects.
- Timely identification of the most important aspects in complex tax issues; development of new/innovative solutions for complex situations/problems and consideration of the consequences beyond problem solving.
- Mediation of complex tax issues as well as overcoming possible resistance through high negotiation skills with internal and external partners.
- Recognized specialist and extensive experience in the relevant tax fields as well as in related tax issues and application of knowledge in the handling of complex cases.
