A leading corporate banking and capital markets organisation is seeking a Transaction Management Senior Specialist to join their team in London.
Main Purpose of this role:
A Transaction Management specialist works directly with Product Specialists, Relationship Managers and Clients to manage and monitor new and existing Asset Finance transactions. They provide monitoring expertise and detailed technical knowledge of the Banks’ processes to ensure that transactions are effectively managed throughout their life cycle.
Responsibilities include coordinating with all relevant internal teams to steer transactions through applicable transactional approval processes, ensuring adherence to all relevant terms & conditions throughout the deal tenor.
The role involves actively analysing financial results for CC Lending and preparing management information and reports as required. Additionally, the role ensures that all business activities conducted are in compliance with the applicable policies of the Bank.
Key Activities and Competencies:
- Ensure the smooth day to day running of the Transaction Management function within CC Lending London.
- Support Transaction Management in other locations where needed.
- Collaborate with the Product Teams in CC Lending and participate in initial structuring discussions concerning trade capture, control, reporting and support subsequent approval process where required (i.e. NPP).
- Understand the team’s portfolio of existing and new transactions and serve as a liaison point for functions within the Bank e.g. Finance, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal to ensure transactions are properly approved and reflected in the bank’s systems.
- Assist the preparation, review and presentation of management information (MI) for senior management and play an active part in streamlining MI reporting within CC Lending.
- Ensure CC Lending revenues, costs, and capital charges are correctly reflected in the team’s management accounts.
- Update relevant processes and procedures, continually enhance established processes within the team and support ad hoc projects.
- Respond to day-to-day requests by team members by providing information and advice, ensuring that issues are appropriately resolved.
- Comply with all Group and Divisional policies and standards including, but not limited to, Compliance, Risk, Human Resources and Finance and to adhere to ComWert.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
- Offer expert advice in area of specialisation, demonstrating technical and product knowledge.
Key Requirements:
- Formal education: University degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
- Further professional qualification advisable (CIMA/ACA).
- Broad knowledge and expertise based on sufficient years of professional experience in Accounting/Banking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to understand and explain concepts and ideas to diverse audiences including senior management.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.
- Excellent organisational, communication and diplomacy skills (both written and oral).
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Ability to perform effectively under time pressure.
