Our client, a growing Northampton-based business, is seeking a proactive and hands-on WordPress Website Developer / Digital Web Specialist to take ownership of multiple websites. This is a key role within the business, responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, improving site performance, and building online visibility through effective SEO and website optimisation.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple websites at once, identifying problems, implementing solutions, and continuously improving user experience and search performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated web professional who enjoys problem-solving and making a real impact on a company's digital presence.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and manage WordPress websites
- Add new pages, features, and functionality
- Improve site structure, navigation, and usability
- Optimise website speed and performance
- Troubleshoot and fix technical issues
- Update and manage plugins, themes, and security
- Support SEO best practices
- Monitor website performance and analytics
- Review competitor websites and identify improvements
- Suggest new ideas to enhance digital presence
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, themes, and plugins
- Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript
- Understanding of website performance optimisation and security
- Familiarity with SEO principles
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to manage multiple websites simultaneously
- Experience with Google Analytics and Search Console
- Knowledge of Google Ads
- Experience with hosting environments and site migrations
Location: Northampton
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000
Hours: Full-time (part-time considered)
Working pattern: Monday - Friday 9 to 5
