Mechanic (Full Time)

Summary
Responsible for repairing, setting up, assembling, adjusting, and maintaining any and all types of construction equipment owned by CSE.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receives, stores, and draws supplies and tools for use on a project.
- Performs proper procedures for the care of existing tools.
- Schedules preventative maintenance and required repairs on fixed and mobile equipment.
- Assembles, sets up, adjusts, maintains, and repairs any and all types of equipment including but not limited to: vehicles, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and cranes.
- Performs major and minor repairs on company vehicles; services with fuel, oil, air, water, and fluids on a rotational basis. Checks alignment of steering wheel and rotates tires.
- Uses a cutting torch, brazes and welds as necessary.
- Demonstrates proficiency for diagnosing and repairing equipment in a safe and productive manner.
- Familiar with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations, CSE, Inc. Rules and Regulations and Site-Specific Rules and Regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities : This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
One to three years related experience and/or training. ASE Certification preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to travel. Valid driver\’s license and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
