Software Developer Location: Kings Hill / Hybrid Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum HR Connect are looking for a talented Software Developer to join their growing team. You’ll work closely with a dynamic team of developers and support analysts, helping to deliver change for our SaaS platform used by internal and external customers. What You’ll Be Doing Collaborating with the development team to analyse requirements and deliver scalable functionality for our PHP-based software applications. Developing and maintaining a cloud-based application using the Laravel framework. Creating clean, accessible front-end experiences with strong attention to UX, UI, and WCAG standards. Producing well-documented, high-quality code that meets both technical and business needs. Upgrading software frameworks in line with lifecycle requirements while maintaining key business functions. Working with third-party providers to manage integrations with external systems. Designing efficient, relational databases with performance and functionality in mind. Conducting thorough unit testing, troubleshooting, and debugging. What We\’re Looking For 3+ years’ experience in software development with PHP and frameworks like Laravel or Symfony. Proficient in front-end web development, with expertise across HTML, CSS, React.js, JavaScript, Bootstrap, jQuery, and AJAX. Experience building, testing, and maintaining RESTful APIs. Proven experience designing and managing relational databases using MySQL. Familiarity with agile workflows (e.g., Jira, Trello) and version control systems like Git. A creative, proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail. Strong understanding of security and confidentiality best practices (ISO 27001 preferred).
