What You’ll Bring:
HR Connect are looking for a dedicated Payroll Assistant to deliver excellent services from our Prospect Payroll team. We need a customer focused individual with strong attention to detail to deliver accurate and efficient payroll and pensions transaction processing services to schools and academies.
What You’ll Achieve:
- Carry out data processing on the iTrent payroll system accurately and efficiently
- Provide support and assistance to our customers on payroll related queries and issues
- Work as part of the payroll team to ensure our customers are paid in an accurate and timely manner using either the BACS system or cheque as applicable
- Conduct manual payroll and pension calculations as required
- Carry out processes in relation to HMRC including downloading tax code changes and submitting FPS and EPS returns via iTrent

What We Require:
- Good knowledge of databases and computer packages which include Word and Excel
- Previous experience of working in a payroll team and use of computerised payroll systems is desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of Tax, National Insurance, Statutory Sick Pay, Maternity and Paternity Pay
- Ability to be extremely accurate, detailed and confidential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain working relationships
