Landscape Services are looking for a dedicated and well organised Mobile Fitter to join their team. This is a role where technical judgement and independent problem‑solving are essential, with responsibility for diagnosing faults, completing repairs and supporting operational teams with expert advice. Why this role matters The Mobile Fitter will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety and availability of plant and equipment across multiple operational sites, ensuring downtime is minimised and repairs are completed efficiently. What you’ll be doing Managing planned maintenance activities to ensure equipment remains safe, compliant and operational. Supporting breakdown response to deliver timely repairs and minimise downtime. Working closely with workshop, stores and procurement teams to coordinate parts and materials. Building effective relationships with site managers and operational teams. Preparing accurate electronic records to support decision making and future maintenance planning. Assessing equipment on customer and company sites to determine repair requirements. Providing clear technical updates and recommendations to stakeholders. What we’re looking for Proven experience in plant fitting, agricultural engineering, mobile engineering, HGV maintenance or similar mechanical roles. Strong diagnostic skills across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. The ability to work independently in a field‑based environment and manage workload effectively. Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. A proactive and solutions‑focused approach. Competence using mobile devices and electronic maintenance systems.
