Invicta Law is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solicitor to join our Employment, Privacy, and Governance team on a 12-month Fixed-Term contract (Maternity cover). This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing top-quality legal advice to a diverse range of clients, including Kent County Council, schools, academies, and external clients.
As a Solicitor in our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality legal services, including providing advice on complex employment law issues, acting for Respondents in relation to a range of Employment Tribunal claims and managing a caseload of cases. You will also work closely with our Head of Group and colleagues within the team to ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services to our clients.

Key Duties:
- Prepare cases for multiday hearings before Employment Tribunals.
- Assist counsel in the representation of clients at Tribunal hearings.
- Advise on a wide range of employment law matters, including TUPE, Discrimination and Unfair dismissal claims.
- Manage a full caseload of employment-related cases with some supervision.
- Conduct legal research and deliver training to colleagues and HR officers.
- Comply with internal quality assurance processes and assist in ensuring adherence to the Quality and Business Manual.
What we need from you:
- Qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years of employment law experience
- Proven experience with Respondent employment law cases, ideally but not essentially including advocacy before Employment Tribunals.
- Having experience of advising on TUPE and related matters.
- Ability to manage your own caseload and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work proactively and use initiative to meet urgent client needs.
