What You’ll Bring:

The Education People have a fantastic opportunity for an organised, proactive and people-focused individual to join our Supported Employment Service as an Engagement and Triage Officer. This role is key to ensuring that participant referrals are effectively processed and triaged in line with key performance indicators and contractual obligations. You will be an integral part of the team, helping connect participants with the right support at the right time. We’re looking for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills, confident with databases, and passionate about making a difference for individuals facing barriers to employment. Due to the nature of this role, an Enhanced DBS check (provided by the Company) will be required.

What You’ll Achieve:

  • Process participant referrals and enter data into the service database accurately and efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage referral and enquiry inboxes to ensure timely responses to stakeholders and potential participants.
  • Respond to phone enquiries professionally, providing information about the service and referral methods.
  • Triage participants to determine needs, eligibility, and the most appropriate service pathway.
  • Work closely with internal team members and external stakeholders to identify and develop new referral pathways.
  • Liaise with referring partners and provide updates to ensure continuity and quality of service.
  • Attend meetings and support the Engagement and Triage Lead in administrative and business support duties.
  • Maintain and handle confidential information in line with GDPR and internal policies.

What We Require:

  • Educated to Level 2 or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience of data entry and working with databases
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and at pace
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong IT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of GDPR and confidentiality principles
  • Awareness of barriers to employment and social exclusion
  • Willingness to develop knowledge of Supported Employment and IPS (Individual Placement and Support)
