The predicted salary is between 22400 - 27200 £ per year.

Salary: £28-£34K - pro rata (Dependent on experience)

Contract type: Fixed term contract until March 2025

Hours: 7:45-17:00

Location: London/Surrey

Working for a well-respected growing charity, to plan for and deliver construction courses within custodial settings and in the community to prepare learners for employment upon release. You will set high expectations for the work environment and your learners in terms of security, health and safety and outcomes for learners.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver painting and decorating training that aligns with accreditation criteria for individual learners.
  • Effectively manage in-custody workshops, demonstrating strong classroom management and fostering expected behaviours.
  • Engage learners in self-assessment, maintaining essential records and prioritising additional support needs.
  • Monitor delivery and qualifications while adhering to quality processes and data protection regulations.
  • Support tutors and case managers in positively impacting learners for workforce integration and future planning.
  • Proactively adhere to safeguarding, health, and safety regulations for a secure working environment.
  • Collaborate with trainers and case managers for comprehensive learner support in education and employment progression.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in compliance with GDPR requirements.
  • Happy to travel between sites as operationally required.

Personal Specification

Knowledge and Skills

  • Extensive on-site experience of all aspects of Painting & Decorating.
  • Experience of teaching functional skills and employability (desired).
  • Qualified IQA (desired not essential).
  • Experience of working with people with complex needs would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of working with awarding bodies such as City and Guilds & NOCN.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team, creating a culture of high performance and cooperation.
  • An understanding & commitment to principles and procedures for safeguarding vulnerable adults including the 'Prevent' strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a thriving team environment.
