Why this role matters

This role is central to ensuring Kent County Council has access to the right talent at the right time. You will act as a trusted partner to hiring managers, delivering a seamless recruitment service while maintaining compliance, managing candidate pipelines, and supporting workforce planning across a range of roles.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build strong relationships with hiring managers, understanding their workforce needs and recruitment challenges
  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates
  • Advertise roles and utilise search techniques to attract high‑quality candidates
  • Review CVs and submit suitable candidates through internal systems and client portals
  • Coordinate interviews, gather feedback and manage offer and placement processes
  • Ensure all compliance and legal requirements are met before candidates start assignments
  • Maintain regular contact with candidates and agency workers, ensuring strong engagement and retention
  • Manage vacancies through CRM systems, ensuring data accuracy and reporting
  • Collaborate with external agency supply chain partners where required
  • Provide ongoing support and aftercare to both clients and candidates to ensure successful placements

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working within a recruitment agency or managed service environment
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate sourcing methods
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Good knowledge of compliance and legislation within recruitment (e.g. AWR, IR35, H&S)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and manage expectations
  • Experience using recruitment CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong attention to detail
