Commercial Services Group is an international organisation offering a part-time Occupational Health Physician role. The position is home-based, with potential visits to client sites across Kent, Sussex, and Essex, as well as occasional trips to the head office in West Malling, Kent.
Job Purpose: To provide an efficient, confidential, and comprehensive occupational health service, ensuring high professional standards and best practices are maintained. Responsibilities include:
- Providing professional evidence-based advice to clients for managing employee absence and promoting workplace wellbeing.
- Delivering both written and verbal advice to managers/HR personnel to support case management.
- Assessing health surveillance cases and participating in case conferences, absence reviews, and case reviews.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of OH standards and strategies.
- Representing OH externally as required.
- Participating in Occupational Health quality assurance processes to support clinical governance.
Requirements:
- A qualified Occupational Health Physician (OHP) with valid General Medical Council (GMC) Registration.
- Minimum Diploma in Occupational Medicine (Dip Occ Med); higher qualifications such as AFOM, MFOM, and FFOM are welcomed.
- Experience in NHS is ideal.
- A Medical Practitioner who has continued their medical education in line with continuing professional development.
- Preferably HSE appointed (e.g., Ionising Radiation, Asbestos, Lead).
- Certification to undertake Tier 4 HAVS assessment is preferred.
- Effective communicator with strong listening and empathetic skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience dealing with complex health issues.
- Full Driving License and access to own transport.
- IT literate with effective report writing skills.
- Awareness of Health & Safety legislation and Health Surveillance requirements under COSHH.
