  • Attend meetings, take accurate minutes, and provide regulatory advice in real time
  • Follow up on meeting actions and ensure boards maintain compliance with all governance requirements
  • Manage governor appointments, including declarations and interests registers
  • Support statutory duties
  • Lead procedural support for complaints, exclusions, and appeal hearings
  • Promote The Education People's resources and attend relevant CPD sessions, which will be paid for.

What we're looking for

  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and online meeting tools
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with professional judgement
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Understanding of governance structures in schools and relevant legislation (desired but not essential)
  • Proven minute‐taking and document management experience (desired but not essential)
  • High attention to detail, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • A collaborative and solution‐focused approach

What you'll get in return

  • Salary of £14.30 per hour
  • Flexible hours and remote working
  • Paid annual leave
  • Life assurance cover (4x salary)
  • Pension scheme with up to 8% employer contribution
  • Health cash plan, retail and gym discounts
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Volunteer days and access to a comprehensive wellbeing programme
  • Tailored learning and development with real opportunities to progress
