We are looking for a proactive, detail-driven Ecommerce Executive to join our Global Education Supplies (GES) team and support the growth of our digital and ecommerce presence. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the online customer experience across a diverse portfolio of education brands, contributing to commercial growth through optimised digital journeys, compelling content, and data-led decisions.
As Ecommerce Executive, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management, merchandising and optimisation of our ecommerce websites. You will help drive customer acquisition, conversion and retention through effective campaign delivery, content creation, product visibility and digital marketing. Your insight and analytical approach will help us continually improve the online experience and identify opportunities to grow revenue and engagement across our platforms.
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinate with the Marketing and Product Marketing teams to plan and deliver seasonal promotions, campaigns and product launches across our trading websites
- Work with the Ecommerce Manager and Digital team to identify and implement improvements to website performance, functionality and customer experience
- Ensure product listings are optimised for sales, including rich content, accurate attributes, indexing and SEO-friendly naming conventions
- Manage product categorisation, taxonomy and navigation to ensure products are easy to find
- Own day-to-day merchandising of products and categories, using data to inform decisions
- Develop and manage product recommendations to grow average order value and customer retention
- Design and launch automated, activity-based email campaigns using DotDigital
- Support SEO and paid media activity through collaboration with internal teams and external agencies
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to spot new opportunities
- Maintain and share regular performance reports tracking key ecommerce KPIs
What we’re looking for:
- Experience managing ecommerce platforms (e.g. Adobe Commerce, Shopify) and CMS tools
- Confidence working with marketing automation, SEO and PPC strategies
- Strong attention to detail and a data-driven approach to decision making
- Good understanding of customer behaviour and ecommerce conversion tactics
- Ability to work collaboratively across marketing, digital and product teams
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Experience in the education sector or B2B ecommerce is desirable but not essential
