The role is to generate sales by conducting outbound and receiving incoming sales calls and electronic interactions with customers. The primary function is to promote and sell the full product range to potential and current customers, to generate sales and market growth for the business. The role will involve managing the customer database on a proactive customer relations basis, making monthly contact with current customers and developing leads to acquire new customers.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Delivery of the budgeted sales and gross margin for allocated accounts.
- Achieve weekly & monthly call targets.
- Retain existing business revenues.
- Effectively plan and schedule calls to ensure that opportunities are maximised with the right customers at the right time.
- Collaborate with CS, Stock Control & Finance teams to ensure all customer interactions are managed professionally and effectively; from order queries, stock queries and returns to account applications, complaints, customer payments/ arrears etc.
- Ensure CRM is fully utilised; all customer meetings, contacts, calls/ activities and sales pipeline movement must be recorded and updated in a timeous fashion.
- Arrange customer samples, literature and stationery as required.
- Follow up on quotations and sample requests.
