We are looking to recruit a Receptionist for a long-established company in Peterborough. The role offers regular Monday to Friday daytime hours - 08:45 - 17:15.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication ability to recruit into the Service team, bringing experience with customer calls. Essential skills include Microsoft Office and you will need to demonstrate organisation ability and be able to work as a member of the team. Your work will ensure our service remains excellent as you contribute effectively in a professional manner across a busy area of business. All product and system training will be provided; you will need to demonstrate the desire to succeed and the skills to communicate. The position is office based with a focus on delivering a quality service to customers.

Responsibilities for this position:

  • Managing the telephone system to act as initial contact between the customer and Company.
  • Dealing with external organisations regarding the transfer of information.
  • Keeping client records accurate and up to date including electronic records on the management database and manual filing.
  • General support with the processing of invoices, the pending log and production of reports.
  • Processing any incoming mail and organising the daily mail collection.
  • Processing any visitors into the building, ensuring they are escorted as necessary.
  • Support the scanning of documentation to ensure that customer records are accurate.
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of Statements.
  • Maintain stationery stocks and order supplies when necessary.
  • Effective application of data protection measures throughout the role.
  • General office duties to ensure smooth running of the office.
  • Responding to and taking action with requests accurately and within a given timeframe.
  • Undertake reasonable training and remain current with knowledge.
  • Work effectively as a member of the Team.
  • Develop an understanding of how the functions of the role interlink throughout the business and impact on others.
