About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-focused Paraplanner to join a growing financial planning team. Working closely with Financial Advisers, you will provide high-quality technical and administrative support throughout the advice process. You will play an important role in preparing client recommendations, researching financial products, producing suitability reports and ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered within agreed timescales. This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner who wants to develop their technical knowledge and build a long-term career within a professional financial planning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Financial Advisers throughout the client advice process
- Preparing suitability reports, recommendation letters and other client documentation
- Conducting research into investments, pensions, protection and other financial products
- Obtaining and analysing information from providers
- Preparing cash-flow forecasts and financial planning analysis where required
- Preparing client meeting packs and supporting advisers with meeting preparation
- Processing new business and maintaining accurate client records
- Liaising with product providers, platforms and other third parties
- Ensuring advice documentation meets regulatory and compliance requirements
- Monitoring outstanding actions and ensuring deadlines are met
- Supporting the team with ongoing client reviews and changes to existing arrangements
- Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail at all times
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced within a Paraplanner, Financial Planning Administrator or similar role
- Ideally experienced within an IFA or financial planning environment
- Comfortable working with pensions, investments, protection and other financial planning products
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident researching and interpreting technical financial information
- Able to produce professional, accurate written documentation
- Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple cases simultaneously
- A strong communicator who can work effectively with advisers, providers and clients
- Proactive, reliable and keen to develop their technical knowledge
Qualifications
The CII Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or progress towards this qualification would be highly advantageous. We would also consider candidates with relevant financial services experience who are working towards their professional qualifications.
