Our client is a well-established specialist insurance provider with a strong reputation for delivering tailored insurance solutions to individuals, families, professionals, and businesses across the UK and internationally.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking a proactive and commercially focused Business Development Executive to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with insurance experience, or experience within a highly regulated industry, who enjoys building relationships, converting leads, and driving business growth.
Please note: This is a fully office-based position and does not offer remote or hybrid working.
The Role
Working as part of a busy and supportive team, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, converting warm leads, supporting broker relationships, and providing outstanding customer service to existing clients.
Key responsibilities include
- Converting warm inbound enquiries into new business opportunities.
- Proactively generating new business through brokers, introducers, affiliates, and direct channels.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, brokers, and intermediaries.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Supporting existing customers with their insurance requirements and renewals.
- Preparing quotations, renewal terms, and policy documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Managing appointments and meetings with prospective and existing business partners.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Representing the business at networking events and industry conferences when required.
- Ensuring full compliance with FCA regulations and internal procedures.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have
- Previous experience within the insurance industry or a highly regulated sector such as financial services, banking, legal services, healthcare, or similar.
