Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially minded, data-driven Retention & Membership Sales Executive. This role blends relationship management, sales, and analytical insight. You will be responsible for retaining existing clients, driving renewals, and identifying upsell opportunities, while also engaging new prospects through targeted outreach. A key part of your success will come from interpreting data, understanding website traffic, user behaviour, and market trends to inform sales strategy and demonstrate value to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Retention & Account Management
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure high renewal rates
- Proactively engage clients ahead of renewal periods with performance insights and recommendations
- Deliver a consultative approach, demonstrating the value of continued membership
- Identify and execute upsell opportunities, including premium listings, enhanced visibility, and advertising features
- Present tailored solutions based on client goals and platform performance data
- Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets
- Conduct outbound outreach (primarily email) to prospective clients.
- Introduce the agency's platform, value proposition, and advertising opportunities
- Build a pipeline of qualified leads and convert them into paying members
- Analyse website traffic, user engagement, and conversion data to identify trends and opportunities
- Use data to support client conversations, renewals, and upselling strategies
- Research clients and market segments to uncover new business opportunities
- Track campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations to clients and internal teams
- Work closely with Marketing to align outreach campaigns with audience insights and trends
- Partner with Operations to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery for clients
- Share data-driven insights to improve lead quality and conversion rates
Essential:
- Proven experience in sales, account management, or client retention
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into commercial opportunities
- Excellent written communication skills, particularly for email outreach
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Commercial awareness and a results-driven mindset
