As Building Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre‑construction team, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for general building projects valued up to £2 million. You will be involved from the early enquiry stage through to tender submission, working closely with commercial, design and operational teams to ensure robust pricing and successful bid outcomes.

What you will do:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for general building projects up to £2 m.
  • Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documents.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.
  • Produce Bills of Quantities and pricing schedules.
  • Assess project risks and identify value‑engineering opportunities.
  • Support bid submissions and tender presentations.
  • Work collaboratively with project and commercial teams.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of market rates and construction methods.
