We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to manage bespoke customer lines across multiple warehouse locations. This role focuses on ensuring stock levels are maintained effectively, tracking inventory accurately, and working closely with internal teams and customers to support smooth operations.
While previous experience in inventory control or a warehouse environment is beneficial, it is not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
As an Inventory Controller, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring accurate inventory management for all customer-specific products.
- Maintaining stock levels to meet customer requirements and demand.
- Developing and improving inventory tracking systems to streamline operations.
- Communicating regularly with warehouse teams regarding stock levels and any potential order issues.
- Conducting daily inventory analyses to anticipate and mitigate potential stock shortages or overages.
- Reporting on inventory performance, trends, and variances.
- Acting as a key stakeholder in supplier engagement and performance management.
- Assessing incoming inventory to confirm readiness for shipping or delivery.
- Developing and implementing robust inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Supporting the Commercial team in delivering a market-leading service to our clients.
- Leading innovative projects that drive service improvements, cost efficiencies, and training initiatives.
- Managing the implementation of new customer accounts involving bespoke stock requirements.
- Building strong working relationships across the supply chain to ensure optimal performance and collaboration.
About you
- Familiarity with stock control, inventory management, and warehouse operations is highly desirable
- A background or experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Stock Management or Customer Service
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Self-motivation with the ability to set, manage, and achieve goals
- A commitment to continuous personal development and supporting team growth
