Commercial Bodyworks are seeking an experienced Panel Beater / Body Repair Technician to join our busy commercial vehicle bodyshop. You will be responsible for repairing and restoring a wide range of commercial vehicles, including HGVs, trailers, and light commercial vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, safely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structural and cosmetic repairs to commercial vehicles and trailers
- Repair or replace damaged panels using appropriate techniques
- Perform panel beating, welding, filling, and sanding
- Align panels and components to manufacturer specifications
- Work on a variety of materials including steel, aluminium, and composites
- Strip and refit vehicle components where required
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Liaise with workshop controllers, estimators, and other technicians
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
- Experience as a Panel Beater / Body Repair Technician (commercial vehicles preferred)
- Ideally experienced in working on HGVs, trailers, or LCVs
- Preferably skilled in welding, panel repair, and body alignment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
