The Opportunity:
Join our dynamic Product team as a Junior Product Manager. Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, this role is responsible for working with the InStore team, wider commercetools organisation, customers, prospects, and partners to drive forward the InStore solution on a global basis. You\’ll play a crucial role in enhancing the product to delight customers by providing the best omnichannel experience, while monitoring globalisation and localisation considerations including fiscal compliance. As a key member of our team, you will have the autonomy to navigate the full spectrum of the discovery, design, and delivery process within our omnichannel domain, to enable engineering to create features that solve customer problems.
Your Mission:

  • Represent our customers\’ product needs within a cross-functional team, with an ability to articulate and lead the requirements process with the team and stakeholders
  • Be the in-house InStore product expert and manage requirements from all relevant stakeholders
  • Assist and support sales and partner enablement efforts to fuel customer success
  • Create user and buyer personas, business process flows, detailed specifications, user acceptance test criteria, configurations, and demo/test data
  • Work with the UX Designer to enable user flows, wireframes, sketches, and/or prototypes to communicate your solution proposals with internal and customer teams
  • Conduct manual user acceptance testing on delivered capabilities and work with engineering to correct and perfect product
  • Collect, organize, and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to solve our customers\’ and end-users\’ problems
  • Plan and conduct user research workshops, interviews, surveys, or testing sessions, defining and documenting research goals
  • Scope, plan, and review documentation updates for added capabilities
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of the product roadmap. Produce and manage Initiatives and Features in Productboard linked to Epics and Tickets in Jira.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve the quality of our solutions and build top notch products that set new standards across our global landscape.

What you need to succeed:

  • 2+ years of experience in retail store sales, management, or training, including store operations, payment processing, cash management, and store technology, in high street retail or department store, telco, warehouse/ware-room, or health/benefits service setting
  • Strong ability to convert users\’ needs to requirements, business process flows, reports, gap analyses, and job aids
  • Strong verbal and written English language communication skills
  • Ability to work independently by organizing and prioritizing your workload
  • Product and international mindset to add capabilities that solve varied customers\’ problems across countries, currencies, and languages

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with process flow and collaboration tools such as LucidChart, Mermaid, Visio, Omnigraffle, Miro, or Mural
  • Experience with BPMN, UML, or other process modeling standards
  • Experience conducting requirements reviews with cross-functional remote teams
  • Product Owner or Agile/Scrum experience, training, or certification
  • Product Management experience and training or Market Analysis / Strategy techniques such as Jobs To Be Done, Kano, Strategy Canvas
  • Experience in enterprise solutions or any other SaaS applications for retail or e-commerce
  • Experience contributing to business case / initiatives preparation including investment justifications, analysis, and visualisation
  • Degree in communication or business studies
