About Commerce7

Commerce7 is redefining how wineries sell, market, and engage with their customers. As the leading modern commerce platform for the wine industry, we provide wineries with the tools they need to manage ecommerce, wine clubs, tasting rooms, CRM, and hospitality experiences in one connected ecosystem. We are a fast-growing technology company serving wineries across North America, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Our team is driven by a shared commitment to innovation, customer success, and helping wineries thrive in an increasingly digital world. At Commerce7, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside talented people, solve meaningful challenges, and make a direct impact on the future of an industry undergoing rapid transformation.

About the Role

Commerce7 is growing internationally and we need someone to lead that charge. You'll own our existing markets across Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and any new markets in Europe (GB, Italy, Spain+) we are planning on moving into in 2027. This means taking what's already working in North America and making it work everywhere else not starting from scratch, but adapting with local intelligence at scale. You'll report directly to the VP of Growth and have real ownership over how international performs.

What You'll Do

  • Run day-to-day international operations
  • Own growth and operations for AUS, NZ, SA, EU and new regions as we expand
  • Drive sales readiness, partner training, marketing localization, and regional events
  • Implement and scale our sales, marketing and customer experience playbook across regions
  • Ensure customers in every region get a consistent, high-quality experience
  • Work with North American department heads to identify regional staffing needs, recommend the right people and partners for each market, and collaborate on onboarding and training across sales, customer success, support, and partner teams
  • When launching a new region, take full ownership of team setup, hiring, and onboarding from the ground up
  • Execute and adapt our go-to-market playbook
  • Take our proven North American sales, marketing, and CX playbooks and operationalize them in each region - adapting where needed, not rebuilding from scratch
  • Develop region-specific GTM strategies to enter, scale, and capture market share in key international territories
  • Own international sales targets, ARR goals, and pipeline development and be accountable for hitting them
  • Develop regional forecasts and operating plans that feed into our overall budget
  • Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships with local technology providers, resellers, and other high-value regional allies
  • Work cross-functionally on localization
  • Work with Product to get translations, region-specific compliance, tax, shipping, and payments in place
  • Work with the North American marketing team to localize campaigns, messaging, and demand generation for each market
  • Work with the North American customer experience team to adapt onboarding, support processes, and customer success workflows for each region - ensuring they're ready before launch
  • Own market research and expansion planning
  • Continuously research and evaluate new regions (EU, Latin America, Asia, and others)
  • Build market launch business cases for executive review
  • Recommend how to structure the international team over time - including potential regional GMs and advise on international investment priorities
  • Ensure international operations comply with regional data, tax, and licensing requirements (e.g. GDPR)
  • Report on performance
  • Deliver weekly and monthly reporting on regional performance, partner results, and KPIs to executive leadership
  • Define and track international readiness goals for each new market prior to launch

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in international business development, SaaS sales, or global operations with a track record of actually launching and scaling in new countries
  • Strong operational instincts - you know how to take a playbook and run with it
  • Solid understanding of B2B SaaS business models, including ARR, churn, and pipeline management
  • Experience building and managing regional teams or partner networks across cultures and time zones
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and moving fast without waiting for everything to be figured out
  • Clear communicator who can translate strategy into action and report results simply
  • Based in England (preferred) or EU with willingness to travel to active and target markets
  • Wine industry experience is a plus, but not required
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English required
  • Proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset

How Success is Measured

  • International ARR growth
  • New market penetration speed and pipeline velocity
  • Regional customer satisfaction (CSAT) and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  • Partner performance and retention across regions

Benefits

  • Be part of a motivated and passionate team dedicated to empowering our clients with the tools and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • We fly all employees in or out to join us at a fun filled company retreats twice per year.
  • We are committed to creating a diverse culture and proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision.
  • We offer an RRSP matching program (or similar based on location)
  • We provide our team with the technology and tools you need to succeed in your role.
  • Skip the commute! Work remotely and hit your deadlines from home.
  • Free wine! - Enjoy a quarterly wine club shipment on us.
  • Dedicated annual education budget to support your professional growth and career development.

Salary

Base salary: CAD $150,000 – $170,000 (£80,800 – £91,500 / €93,300 – €105,700)

Bonus: Up to 8.3% annual performance bonus (paid in local currency)
