Command Recruitment is partnering with a high-performing motor retail group in Ashford, Kent to recruit an experienced Dealership Accountant. This is a senior, business-critical role offering an exceptional package, stability, and long-term career progression.
The Role
As Dealership Accountant, you will take full ownership of the dealership\’s accounting function, leading the Accounts Department and delivering accurate, timely financial information to support commercial decision-making.
Working closely with senior management and Heads of Business, you will play a key role in forecasting, financial control, and continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the Accounts Department team
- Produce monthly management accounts in line with group deadlines
- Prepare weekly cash flow, stock, and cost forecasts
- Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure accurate stock valuations and work-in-progress reporting
- Support cost control and budget performance across departments
- Act as a trusted financial partner to senior management
About You
- Car dealership experience is essential
- Proven experience as a Dealership Accountant or in a senior dealership accounts role
- Experience using Kerridge or Pinnacle/Pinewood is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of motor trade accounting processes
- Confident producing management accounts and forecasts
- Experienced people manager with a hands-on, commercial approach
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

- £45,000 – £50,000 basic salary (DOE)
