Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester - Warrington br £35,600 Basic Salary | £17.07 per hour Monday to Friday Only - No Weekends 7:00am - 4:00pm | 40 Hours per Week We are looking for a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a busy and established Vehicle Preparation team in Warrington. This is an excellent opportunity for a Technician who enjoys variety and is looking for a Monday-to-Friday role with no weekend working. Were not necessarily looking for a highly skilled Diagnostic or Master Technician. Instead, were looking for someone with good practical mechanical experience and an MOT Tester qualification who is comfortable carrying out a mixture of PDI, vehicle preparation, light mechanical work and MOT testing. MOT qualified but havent tested for a while? Wed still like to hear from you. We are happy to consider someone who needs a refresher and support getting back up to speed with MOT testing. br The Role br Working within the Vehicle Preparation team, youll help ensure used vehicle stock is inspected, prepared and ready to the required standard. The position offers plenty of variety, and your workload will change depending on business requirements. At times, you may predominantly carry out PDI and vehicle preparation work, while during other periods MOT testing could become your primary responsibility. Your duties will include: Carrying out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards br Completing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) br Carrying out vehicle safety and condition inspections br Completing light mechanical repairs and fitting work br Identifying defects and required remedial work br Preparing used vehicle stock to the required standard br Completing relevant MOT and inspection documentation br Working alongside the wider preparation and workshop teams br Moving between PDI and MOT duties depending on business requirements br What Were Looking For br The MOT Tester qualification is the key requirement for this position. Ideally, youll have: An MOT Tester qualification/licence br Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, PDI Technician, MOT Tester or Fast-Fit Technician br Good practical mechanical knowledge br The ability to carry out PDI and light mechanical work br Good attention to detail br A reliable and flexible approach to your work br You do not need to be a Diagnostic or Master Technician to be considered. Equally, if youre MOT qualified but havent tested recently, dont let that put you off.
