In Guernsey, our client runs a unique multi-brand operation and is now on the lookout for a driven, detail-loving Senior Dealership Accountant to keep our finances on track.

About the Role

You’ll be the financial heartbeat of the dealership - keeping everything ticking with accurate reports, strategic forecasts, and cash flow wizardry. You’ll support our leadership team by providing clear, insightful financial info that helps us steer the business in the right direction.

The Position:

  • Create and present monthly management reports that make sense.
  • Keep an eye on budgets and performance, and explain any surprises.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow like a pro - within bank limits and with maximum efficiency.
  • Take care of key assets: think stock, debtors, and funding lines.
  • Forecast weekly, plan annually - to help hit targets across all sectors.
  • Finalise annual accounts and support auditors with everything they need.
  • Keep tabs on the balance sheet, accruals, provisions and ensure we stick to budget.
  • Stay on top of PAYE, TAX, and VAT.
  • Manage payroll, bonuses, and commissions so that everyone gets paid fairly and accurately.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Worked as an Accountant within a Car Dealership before.
  • Experience with any of the Main Dealership Accounting Packages: Kerridge/Keyloop/Autoline/Pinnacle and solid Microsoft Office skills.
  • Familiar with Power BI or similar? Even better!
  • Know your way around Sales, Service & Parts KPIs.
  • Understand the motor trade and its quirks.
  • Organised, sharp-eyed, and independent.
