The Role

As an MET Technician, you will be a key part of a professional bodyshop team, delivering right-first-time repairs to the highest safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, record, and report additional damage during vehicle strip-down
  • Accurately log all parts, materials, consumables, and labour used on each repair
  • Minimise waste and ensure correct ordering of replacement parts
  • Carry out repairs in line with best practice and manufacturer procedures
  • Complete work within estimated repair times while meeting quality and safety standards
  • Check and maintain tools, equipment, and workshop materials
  • Seek clarification where job instructions are unclear or appear incorrect
  • Support the Bodyshop Manager with additional tasks as required

  • Proven experience as an MET Technician within an accident repair centre
  • Relevant NVQ / ATA / IMI / SVQ qualifications preferred
  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
