We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contracts Manager to join our established asbestos removal company. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a background in managing licensed asbestos removal projects and ensuring full compliance with UK legislation.
Working for a growing, friendly SME, this role will have a mixture of hybrid and office working in Sittingbourne and site visits. A car or car allowance and mileage are on offer on top of a competitive salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the delivery of asbestos removal contracts from initial survey through to completion.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- You will need to travel to the sites, mainly Kent, Surrey and London
- Maintain strict compliance with HSE regulations, including Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.(Some training may be able to be given)
- Contract managers\’ position and experience are highly desirable.
- Maybe you could bring potential clients to the business.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and enforcement bodies as required.
- Ensure all RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) are in place and adhered to.
- Provide technical support and leadership to site supervisors and operatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the asbestos removal industry.
- Valid ARCA/UKAS training qualifications preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of asbestos regulations and HSE guidance (HSG248, CAR 2012).
- Strong project management, budgeting, and client liaison skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexible working can be arranged. Working from home could be an option for some of the working week.
