We are partnering with a growing and highly regarded technology consultancy seeking an experienced Cyber Security Consultant to join their expanding cyber practice. This is a client-facing consulting role suited to someone with strong technical cybersecurity expertise, proven SME client delivery experience, and the ability to support commercial growth through pre-sales and solution engagement activities.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering strategic cybersecurity services while acting as a trusted advisor to clients across a broad range of industries.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with clients to assess, strengthen, and evolve their cybersecurity posture while collaborating internally with sales, leadership, and technical teams to support new business opportunities and practice growth. This role offers the opportunity to influence both client outcomes and the future direction of the cyber security practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver cybersecurity consultancy services across SME client environments
  • Conduct risk assessments, gap analyses, and vulnerability assessments
  • Provide strategic recommendations aligned to frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, CIS, and Cyber Essentials
  • Lead and manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, including senior leadership and C-level contacts
  • Support the implementation and improvement of cybersecurity governance and security strategies
  • Work collaboratively with commercial teams on pre-sales activities, proposals, tenders, and client presentations
  • Contribute to the development of new service offerings and practice growth initiatives
  • Produce high-quality client reports, presentations, and remediation plans
  • Stay informed on emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practice

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • 5–8+ years' experience within cybersecurity consultancy or a similar client-facing environment
  • Proven experience delivering cybersecurity projects within SME organisations
  • Strong stakeholder management and client engagement skills
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activities and working alongside commercial/sales teams
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks including ISO27001, NIST, CIS, and Cyber Essentials
  • Experience conducting security assessments, governance reviews, and remediation planning
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
