Key responsibilities

3>Culture and Inclusion Strategy Support

  • To work with the Head of DEIB to support the delivery and implementation of Comic Relief’s DEIB strategy and culture workstreams, acting as a day-to-day project resource for key workstreams.
  • To manage aspects of the DEIB and culture workplan, including maintaining timelines, tracking progress, identifying risks, and suggesting revisions where required.
  • To support senior managers with planning, monitoring and reviewing progress against culture and inclusion priorities within their functions.
  • To prepare clear, regular project reports, dashboards and written updates for senior stakeholders, while maintaining accurate and up-to‑date project documentation, audit logs and governance records in line with Comic Relief procedures, ensuring visibility of progress, milestones and outstanding actions.
  • To coordinate and participate in internal and external working groups relating to culture and inclusion, ensuring Comic Relief benefits from emerging insights and best practice.

Employee Network Group Support

  • Work collaboratively with Employee Network Groups (ENGs), supporting their activities and progressing actions arising from meetings and colleague feedback, while maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date ENG workplans, action trackers and activity logs that are shared with relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as the key point of contact for ENG co‑chairs, offering guidance, supporting escalation where needed, and ensuring effective information flow with People & Culture leadership.
  • Handle sensitive matters in partnership with the People team, maintaining confidentiality and care in line with Comic Relief procedures.
  • Foster collaboration and intersectionality across networks, encouraging shared learning, joint activity and the exchange of resources and insights.
  • Build strong relationships internally and externally, bringing in best practice and ensuring colleague voices and experiences inform culture and inclusion activity.

Governance and Project Management Support

  • Coordinate culture and inclusion governance meetings, including preparing agendas, scheduling, room bookings and the circulation of papers.
  • Attend relevant meetings to manage agendas, capture minutes, collate actions and ensure clear follow‑up.
  • Track, monitor and follow up on actions arising from meetings, ensuring action owners progress items in a timely manner.
  • Review the terms, progress and effectiveness of Employee Network Groups (ENGs), identifying changes needed to support their continued success.
  • Support the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of culture and inclusion projects, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities.

Staff Engagement, Facilitation and Training

  • Contribute to the design, planning and delivery of Inclusivity Calendar events and culture initiatives, working with ENGs and relevant teams to create meaningful organisational moments.
  • Work with Internal Communications to promote culture, inclusion and training activities across all platforms, ensuring colleagues are informed and engaged.
  • Support the design, coordination and facilitation of culture and inclusion training, workshops and learning sessions, helping colleagues build confidence in inclusive behaviours and cultural competence.
  • Manage logistics for events and training, including invitations, materials, evaluations and follow‑up communications to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Monitor attendance, feedback and impact of engagement activities and training programmes, contributing to data gathering, analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date resources, guidance documents and training materials, ensuring accessibility and alignment with organisational needs.

Person specification

  • Good Knowledge of Equality Legislation
  • Excellent understanding of inclusion, diversity, and equality within a working environment
  • Demonstrable understanding of project management
  • Understanding of staff Networks and their role in supporting the wider diversity agenda
  • Proven experience of stakeholder management (internal and external) and relationship building
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels in the organisation both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to prioritise workload; flexibility and adaptability in prioritising competing priorities and varying situations; experience producing regular reports, highlighting key data
  • Degree level qualification and/or equivalent experience in business administration, project management or events planning and delivery
  • Project Management and/or Programme Management Qualifications
  • Experience working cross‑organisationally
  • Demonstrable experience of dealing with matters of a highly sensitive and confidential nature
